My 2 days in Washington, DC consisted of people watching, big bus tour, monument sightings, and food!!
I will share my adventure mainly through photos!
Here are places to see in Washington, DC!
This was like my stoop, where I could relax and people watch. I had the direct view to the Postal Museum.
Took a stroll around the neighborhood of North Capitol Street and here is what I saw…
I definitely recommend taking the Big Bus Tour.
There were 3 routes to choose, Red, Blue, and Yellow.
The Red Loop is the official tour of the National Mall, stopping at the major Smithsonian Museums and the Nation’s famous monuments and memorials.
The Blue Loop crosses the Potomac River, introduces you to Arlington National Cemetery and Pentagon City.
The Yellow Loop explores picturesque Georgetown.
The only loop that I didn’t get enough time to catch was the Yellow Loop. (I still visited Georgetown, which you will see my favorite spot soon.)
Here are some things I saw while on the different routes.
National Museum of African Art.
African American History Museum.
One of the oldest buildings in Washington.
Stopped by Madame Tussauds wax museum!
Mr. & Mrs. Obama.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Tried this food truck, it was DELICIOUS!!!
Took my first uber to Georgetown where I visited my now favorite place there, Georgetown Cupcake!
What was cool for me is that I did an assignment in college on them and to actually visit and taste their yummy cupcakes was awesome to experience!!
After I got back, I walked around to view the scenery at night. I even found a Walmart nearby where I bought a new selfie stick(the one I had broke) and snacks!
This was an adventure, usually, I do not walk around at night by myself.
I was surprised at how I stepped out of my comfort zone/fears and just had fun!
